Maple Butter Rice Krispie Treats... Easter Edition!

I wanted to make something that would serve as a fun addition to our Easter weekend. These Rice Krispie treats are absolutely delicious - the maple butter adds a delicious twist to the classic dessert. Once the Rice Krispie Treats had finished cooling, I used two cookie cutters - a bunny and an easter egg - to add a cute Easter touch to the finished product!

6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal 

1 bag of 10 oz. Marshmallows 

1/4 tablespoon Butter 

1/2 cup Maple Butter


Melt 1/4 tablespoon of butter in a deep saucepan. 

Melt bag of marshmallows into pan once butter is melted. 

Melt 1/2 cup of Maple Butter into pan. Remove from heat.

Stir in Rice Krispies Cereal. Stir until all cereal is coated. 

Transfer into a buttered 13 X 9 baking dish and flatten. Allow to cool completely.

Optional: Once completely cool, transfer treats onto wax paper. Take cookie cutters and cut out your easter bunnies and easter eggs!
