I developed a passion for making maple syrup after going on a school field trip to a maple farm as an 11-year-old in 2009. Four years later, after many trials and tribulations making my own syrup, I launched Parker’s Real Maple to share my distinctly delicious, better-for-you real maple syrup with people around the globe.
Growing up in Upstate New York, our family used real maple to sweeten everything. Although we have always known that real maple is extremely delicious and versatile, since I launched the brand in 2013 there has been tremendous research to identify all of the mineral, antioxidants, and polypehnols that also make it the healthiest sweetener option
My mission has always been to share more of the goodness of real maple with more people in more ways. I am fully committed to educating as many people as I can on the benefits of real maple and offering new, innovative ways to enjoy it.
Parker’s Real Maple became a household name in 2016 when I had the incredible opportunity to appear on ABC’s award-winning show, Shark Tank. We received over 6,000 individual orders in the first week after airing and within one-year, Parker’s products could be found in thousands of retail stores throughout the nation.
Today, I continue to advance the original mission of Parker’s Real Maple by creating and promoting innovative, better-for-you maple-based products.
In May of 2020, the brand was acquired by a larger syrup producer also based in Upstate NY called The Forest Farmers. Being a part of the The Forest Farmers means that all Parker’s syrup is produced from the company’s 10,000 acres of forest land and two state-of-the-art production facilities.
The Forest Farmers was co-founded by my earliest mentor, Dr. Michael Farrell, with the mission to conserve wild forests through sustainable syrup production. Before The Forest Farmers, Dr. Farrell was the Director of the Maple Research Center at Cornell University and I first met him while attending a 4-day intensive training camp for aspiring maple producers. Since its start, The Forest Farmers has focused on building out production capabilities of 100% pure and organic tree syrups including maple, birch, walnut, beech, among others sold under their flagship brand, New Leaf Tree Syrups. You can learn more about the Forest Farmers at NewLeafTreeSyrups.com.
I am excited to continue bringing you the most delicious, innovative, better-for-you forest-based products for many years to come!
